HALAD SA BATANG BALAAN by K Rivera

Fine Arts Department faculty Katherine "K" Paler Rivera celebrated the Sinulog season and Love Month with her solo exhibition "Halad sa Batang Balaan", which serves as a heartfelt offering to the Holy Child, Señor Santo Niño. Rooted in devotion and artistic passion, K's work reflects a profound spiritual connection where painting becomes both a meditation and an intimate dialogue with God. Rivera’s signature style emerges through her depictions of the Santo Niño harmoniously intertwined with her exquisite collection of floral imagery. The delicate blooms symbolize her deep reverence for the sacred femininity, an element that flows through her art as an expression of grace, beauty, and divine presence. 

This solo exhibition is a testament to the deep-rooted devotion and artistic expression that define the Cebuano spirit. Through various natural and religious imagery, K’s art celebrates the rich cultural tapestry of Cebu.
